GetFluent Reading provides practice in accurate and fast word recognition i.e. reading fluency. Fluent reading is an essential skill for reading comprehension because fluency and comprehension compete for brain processing power. The fluent reader can perform multiple tasks — such as word recognition and comprehension — at the same time. The non-fluent reader has difficulty with word recognition which slows down the whole process. Click here for more information on Get Fluent.
If you are a SENCO or involved in any way with SEN / ALN pupils then you will find this online software useful. This provision map and IEP writer offers an efficient method of auditing, tracking and reviewing provisions and interventions in your school and is free for a small number of pupils.
